Radio Mi Amigo's Christmas Special on 5845 khz from Europe with 100 KW TX Power

Radio Mi Amigo Christmas Special on 5845 khz transmitted from Europe with 100 KW TX Power received in Kolkata, India on 24th December 2017.

Signal on 5845 Khz was audible but with severe noise at around 1815 UTC SINPO-34232.   Reception improved after 1920 UTC SINPO-34333

Norddeutscher Rundfunk Annual Christmas Eve Broadcast via Moosbrunn, Austria on 9650 khz

Norddeutscher Rundfunk Christmas Eve Broadcast presumably using the transmitter relay site of Media Broadcast GmbH in Moosbrunn, Austria  was logged on 24 December 2017 from Kolkata, India

The annual "Gruß an Bord" broadcast dedicated to the crews and passengers on cargo and cruise ships around the world was coming good on 9650 Khz.Reception on 9650 kHz was (SINPO) 44334 at 2110 UTC. Reception deteriorated after 2135 UTC and again improved after 2205 UTC

Italian Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) confirms Report by EQSL

Italian Broadcasting Corporation (IBC): English transmission of  IBC was received in Kolkata, India on 5845 khz on 13th December 2017 via the TX in Gavar, Armenia.
 
A reception report was sent by email on the following day.. A full data  EQSL from IBC confirmed my report within 24 hours.

Italian Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) via Tx in Gavar, Armenia on 5845 khz

Italian Broadcasting Corporation (IBC): English transmission of  IBC was received in Kolkata, India on 5845 khz on 13th December 2017. 
 
The broadcast originated from Gavar in Armenia was received with SINPO: 44344 at 2015 Hrs UTC.
Weekly DX show 'Italian shortwave panorama' was being aired at the time of reception .

BBC World Service DRM shortwave on 17790 khz via Kranji, Singapore

Transmitting from Karnji, Singapore, BBC's DRM service received on 17790 khz  at around 0854 UTC on 15th July 2017. Very good reception with telescopic antenna(no sound dropouts) noted for the last couple of minutes. The following clip shows the reception quality.

Verification from station KNLS Anchor Point, near the village of Homer on Alaska's Kenai peninsula

Station KNLS from Anchor Point, Alaska was logged on 9920 Khz  at around 1500 UTC on the date of 2nd August 2015. A reception report was posted on the following day. After many email follow ups a QSL verification card was received on 6th May 2017. More details can be found HERE .

HSK9 Radio Thailand from Udon Thani, Thailand

HSK9 Radio Thailand from Udon Thani, Thailand was heard on 17640 khz on 20th January, 2017. At 0531 hrs UTC Radio Thailand news broadcast from the Public Relations Department of  the Royal Thai Government was running.

SINPO: 44444 Station was received very good here in Kolkata, at 0531 UTC 

A Reception report was sent on the flowing day. A full data QSL card with programme schedule came to my mailbox on 23 April 2017.

QSL Verification received from Radio Mi Amigo International special high power shortwave transmission from Armenia

Radio Mi Amigo International's special shortwave event show on 6145 khz was transmitted from Armenia with high power transmitter for Europe on 27th November 2016.
The station was received in Kolkata at 2026 hrs UTC with very weak and distorted audio. SINPO was 33222.

A reception report was sent on the following day. After five months on 20th April 2017 the following QSL verification with sticker came into my mailbox .

General Overseas Service Of All India Radio from Bengaluru

All India Radio (GOS) from Brngaluru was logged on 15410 khz on 30th January 2017. 'A thought of Mahatma Gandhi' followed by news in English was heard at 1001 hrs UTC.

SINPO: 54444. Very strong signal and good audio quality received in Kolkata.

Reception report was sent via email and a few days ago AIR replied with the following verification card

(RTI) Radio Taiwan International verifies special DRM test broadcast

(RTI) Radio Taiwan International's DRM test transmission from Tansui, Taiwan was monitored in Kolkata, India on 4th December 2016  on 6185 khz.

Weekly program 'In The Spotlight' was aired from 1700 hrs UTC to 1715 hrs UTC.

A reception report was sent on the following day.

A QSL card with schedule came into my mail box after 120 days. Although DRM test broadcast has not mentioned in the card.

NHK World Radio Japan English on 11825khz via Kranji, Singapore

NHK World Radio Japan in English was monitored on 31 December 2017 on 11825 khz. News and short stories named Mushi ashinai by Kaoru Takada was heard from 1100 hrs onward.

SINPO was 44333 with moderate fading.

Reception report sent on the following day (1st January 2017). F/D QSL with programme schedule and other printed materials received on 8th April 2017.  It took more than four months to reach my place.

Radio Free Asia (RFA) 'Year of The Rooster' QSL

Radio Free Asia: Two QSL received from RFA for my reception report on Mandarin and Burmese programmes in January on 7415khz and 13735khz respectively.

RFA sent me the following F/D QSL

RTM Wai FM from from Kajang, Malysia on 11665 khz

RTM WaiFM from Malaysia was logged on 2nd January 2017 on 11665 khz. Malaysian Pop music with station jingle was heard from 1114 UTC onward.  SINPO was 44334. Good signal with slight atmospheric noise and fading observed. Reception sent via email .
